Landing Page SOP — Lead Gen Focus

Your landing page is where clicks turn into leads. If people don't fill out the form, the whole ad system breaks — so this is where we fix that. Updated Nov 4, 2025

What You're Doing

Building a page that converts clicks into leads. Every element should push people toward filling out the form or calling you.

What Makes a Good Landing Page

1) Clear headline

Say exactly what they get and why it matters.

Example: "Get more roofing jobs with better Google Ads."

2) Short, to-the-point copy

Nobody's reading essays. One paragraph + a few bullets is plenty. Talk about benefits, not features.

3) Big, obvious call-to-action (CTA)

One button that stands out. Text like "Get My Quote" or "Book a Call" beats "Submit."

4) Keep the form simple

Ask for only what you need. Name, phone, maybe email — that's it. Fewer boxes = more leads.

5) Add trust

Logos, testimonials, reviews, or even a line like "Trusted by 200+ businesses" helps. People won't give info unless they feel safe.

6) No distractions

No top menu, no random links. Just headline → form → CTA. If it doesn't help conversion, remove it.

7) Fast and mobile-friendly

Page should load in under 3 seconds. Looks clean and scrolls easy on phones.

8) Test and tweak

Try new headlines, button text, and images. Small changes often make a big difference.

Pro Tips

  • Page speed kills conversions: If a page takes longer than 3 seconds to load, you're losing half your leads. Use PageSpeed Insights to check.
  • Mobile-first design: 60–70% of ad clicks come from mobile. If the button isn't visible right away on phones, fix it.
  • Match your ad copy: Your landing page headline should echo what the ad promised. Disconnect = bounce.
  • One goal, one page: Don't try to sell, educate, and capture leads all at once. Pick one conversion action.
